這位作者對大衛以唱會的評價還不錯,但是提到粉絲群時又擺脫不了迷思,現在去大衛的演唱會看到除了年輕女孩之外的人這件事情早就不足為奇了...

The lights went dim, the intro music got louder, the ear-piercing screams bounced off the walls and David Archuleta walked out on stage. He started performing so enthusiastically and energetically, it was like adding gasoline to an already colossal wildfire. He flashed those big pearly whites of his and sang with absolutely no inhibition.

As he played to the emotions of the audience, it was apparent that David genuinely loved what he was doing. His showmanship wowed his fans and made the concert intensely entertaining from start to finish.

The first half of the performance showed off the songs from David's first, self-titled album. As he talked with the audience between songs, it was evident that he is just an 18-year-old kid. He seemed at a loss of words when trying to introduce some of his songs. But when the notes started streaming from his mouth as he began each song, he sounded like a seasoned veteran. His voice had such clarity and perfect pitch. I would dare say he sounded better live than he does on the radio. His voice was powerful, flawless and impressive.

After a costume change into a modern black suit with a festive purple shirt and skinny black tie, David moved into singing music off his new Christmas album. His repertoire included well-known classics like "Silent Night," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," and "O Holy Night." He also performed an original song titled "Melodies of Christmas." The lights on stage combined with David's outward gratitude for the Christmas season made the audience really feel the true spirit of Christmas.

As expected, the crowd consisted mostly of women, including many preteens and college students. But surprisingly, the women a few decades older were out in hoards. The first few rows were filled with middle-aged women so excited to see David that they had purchased all-access passes and spent the day hanging out with him. They were decked out in their fan-crazed attire, which included T-shirts with his face plastered on them, big lanyards attached to their passes and cameras strung around their necks. They were snapping photos left and right and eagerly grinning from ear to ear. But probably the most surprising scene of the evening was watching the men who found it difficult to hide their excitement as they also sang along and knew ALL the words to David's most acclaimed song to date, "Crush." They sang and danced with the best of them. It was great.

As I have been a fan of David Archuleta since his first audition on "American Idol" in 2007, it was so much fun to watch him perform live. I voted for him every week while on the show and cheered him on all the way to the finale. It was a thrill to watch him perform and I would certainly pay to see him again. His concert was well worth the money!
