We just had three of the most glorious days of our lives here in Malaysia. Getting a first hand dose of Archumania at the airport, meeting him personally and talking with him like an old friend and culminating in that amazing 30 minutes he was onstage at Sunway Lagoon.

The atmosphere was electric to say the least. The three opening acts were paid scant attention as the overwhelming majority was there for only one person. The decibels rose to ear shattering proportions the moment he appeared on stage and the 30 minutes of his set went by in a flash. The crowd showed him a lot of love. You could see the joyous grin on his face throughout and TMH was at a whole new level of energy with the jumps. I think with every live performance he's growing in confidence and command and I ask myself "Is this the same boy I saw back then on AI?" His voice was powerful and effortless in soaring above the screams and noise.

A friend of mine said that photos and videos does no justice to the man in person and she's right. Some of us had the privilege of meeting him and even in those few moments of being with him, David amazes you with his charm, sweetness and normalcy. He's so unaffected by his star status that the lucky girl who was part of his private entourage for a day ( complete with the usual gushings and "oh my gosh-es" ) could only offer this succinct conclusion after she was reminded that her entourage privileges were at an end "He's so normal"

And that's the wonder of David Archuleta. A young man so seemingly familiar in the sense that he could be your brother/friend/neighbor and yet it's that same quality that makes him such a rarity and so attractive. I envy you Americans for you get to have him for keeps whereas we only had him for 3 short but wonderful days. These 3 days have given us a lifetime of beautiful memories and we wait anxiously for the next time he swings this way again.
