Hours after the back-to-back concert of David Archuleta and David Cook last May 16, 2009 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, American Idol season 7 runner-up expressed his gratitude through his video blog that you can watch in You Tube.

You could see in the video that he made the video blog just as soon as he had arrived in his hotel after the show. David exclaimed: “It was unbelievable to see all the people there(were) so incredible. I couldn’t believe how many people came to see the show, and just want to say thank you so much to the fans who came, all the Filipino fans”.

You can see in his official You Tube that the international singer barely makes any video blogs to thank his fans. And you could also notice how shocked he was of all the people who came to the concert to show support for him and American Idol winner David Cook, and how sad it was for him that he has had to leave Philippines.

The 18-year old singer-songwriter said: “Both David Cook and I appreciate it so much… Just want to thank you guys just for both of us. I can’t say salamat enough, we will never forget this, that’s for sure. I don’t know how to describe it, there are just thousand and thousands of people there. See, you, guys… support means a lot to us”.

They also did a TV guesting on some of the GMA-7 shows – just like SIS, Eat Bulaga, 24 Oras – and some other special appearances at SM malls, even at the victory party of Manny Pacquiao that was held last May 14, to promote the said concert. “It’s been a great time, it’s been crazy here. I want also to thank all the other international fans, who’d been showing support in Singapore, Malaysia, U.K., and here in the Philippines”, he added.

While during the actual concert, he and David Cook didn’t perform together on stage, aside from when Cook called him out to say thanks. That made some people thinking if there are still some issues between the two Davids.

David Archuleta performed first and he sang a few songs from when he was still on American Idol, and his hits from his debut album like “Stand by Me”, “Angels”, “Crush”, “Touch My Hand”, and many more.

David Cook on the other hand sang his first single “Light On” from his first album, the Mariah Carey remake “Always Be My Baby”, “The World I Know”, and many more.
