Sunshine, Marque, Glasshouse, GST, and Civic Auditorium
Hello Everybody,
Sorry
i've fallen way behind on my blogs :o( life has been busy on the road,
and the internet on the bus is really annoying. I typed out one really
nice blog and just as I hit 'submit' it pooped out on me and I lost the
whole thing. So, now that I have some time I thought i'd try again :o)
The
Sunshine Theater was awesome. Albuquerque was a lot of fun! As soon as
I got there, Alex and I went for food... and guess what!?! We found
GREEK FOOD!!! YAY, haha. I'm greek and have been craving some greek
food (being that mama always cooked it) and finally I was able to have
some. The lady we met inside the restaurant wasso sweet to us. She
hooked us up with some delicious food and diet coke. The show was
awesome! I really thought we nailed ALTNOY... it felt really good at
least. haha. The line was SOOOO long! I dont think i've seen a line
that long before! It wrapped around the building several times, and I
took some pictures to remember that. It was sweet.
The next
day we were off to Arizona. We landed in Tempe where I again ate some
Greek food at "My Big Fat Greek Restaurant" in Tempe. I have to say -
it was pretty good! I had a traditional Greek Salad with lots of feta
and olives... yummmmm. We had a day off so Alex and I ventured around
the town a little. We climbed this hill with a big A on it (it stood
for Arizona State University or something) and took some pics at the
top. Then we went and played some tennis for a bit at another hotel :o)
our hotel didnt have any courts so we became friends with the desk
people at another one and they let us play, haha. The next day we had
the show. I mingled around the kind folks in line in the morning and a
sweet lady bought me antibiotics for my infected finger! Her husband
was a doctor and so she was able to help me out. That was SO sweet of
her... thank you lovely lady :o) I love playing the Marque, its so fun
in there. Its a great layout, just one huge standing room with a good
sound system. The show was WAY fun and the crowd was awesome! We had a
great set. Also, that night the Hornacek family was in the house!! It
was so great to chat with them and hang a bit! I loved getting to know
you all too! It's so much fun to talk to you all and Thank you for an
unforgettable night!
The Glasshouse - I HAD A BLAST!!! Maybe it
was a combination of beautiful weather and being well rested, but I
thought I played a GREAT show! I was so in the zone at one point, I
remember thinking to myself "I can't believe this is my life!" The
crowed was awesome too, you were all so full of energy. I think my
favorite tune was ALTNOY again!!! haha. Crush was a lot of fun too, it
was grooving really well :o) It was fun to mingle with the crowd again,
and sorry to everyone I missed! I really really hope to meet you at a
show again sometime soon.
After Cali we made our way to Reno
where we played the Grand Sierra Theatre. What a venue this was! It was
so beautiful. It had an awesome back drop (behind us on stage) and also
the seating was neat. There was the floor up front and then all these
booths and tables behind. The lights were incredible too! The lighting
guy was really on top of his game and I thought he did a great job. The
energy was unbelievable too! The whole place got SOOO loud, it was
awesome! My Favorite tune this night was Waiting for Yesterday, gosh, I
really love playing that tune. Hahaha.
That night after our
show in Reno we made our way to Idaho, and landed in the town of Idaho
Falls. We had another day off so I decided to go to the mall with Lupe,
Mike, and Rick to shop. We went to the store 'Buckle' - I had never
been to one before. I found the hottest pair of jeans there and now I
cant take them off! hahaha, they are so sweet. Anyway, Lupe kept
throwing clothes at me to try on, it was so much fun. She's got a good
eye for fashion!
The next day we loaded into the Civic
Auditorium. After soundcheck at 3 I went to subway for some food (I got
the spicy italian on herbs and cheese bread - toasted) and it was so
good. Then I got back to the auditorium and mingled for a bit with some
folks in line. I met so many cool people there. It was awesome. We took
a bunch of pictures and hung out. The show that night was awesome. What
a beautiful crowd! There were so many of you there, and I hope you had
a blast... I did :o) You were all so kind and sincere, thank you thank
you thank you. After the show I went to the after party for a bit and
ate some pizza and talked with some more people before getting on the
bus to go to bed again. It was a fun time, and cant wait to meet more
of you at the next one!
If anyone has any pics of these shows
will you tag them or post them? You guys rock, I think you are the best
friends anyone could ever want!!! THANK YOU! XOXOXO
Eli
