Yoci (Y): You look great btw.
David (D): Thank you! *giggles* Thanks!

Y: Welcome to Asia. It’s such a pity you can’t come to Indonesia.
D: Awww… I know! I really wanted to go to Indonesia actually. But maybe next time.
Y: Yeah. We hope so! All the fans there LOVE you. They also say hi to you.
D: Awww… Thanks! Tell them I say hi.
Y: Okay!
D: I’ve never been able to see any Indonesian fans.(哈哈哈!)
Y: Aww…

Y: OK, first question, have you ever heard anything about Indonesia?
D: Umm… *eating and chewing something* not very much… I’ve heard about like, Jakarta…
Y: Oh yeah, Jakarta, the capital city.
D: *still eating* And just that it’s one of the most popula… populous… populated city, umm, countries in the world.

Y: Anything else?
D: Umm… people haven’t told me very much. Can you tell me something about Indonesia?
Y: You have to go to Bali I think. You like Hawaii, right? Bali is pretty much like Hawaii.
D: Oh yeah? I have to go there then!

Y: How about Asia? Do you have any favorite musician or singer from Asia?
D: Favorite singer? Umm…
Y: How about Charice Pempengco from the Philippines?
D: I think I’ve heard a little bit of hers. But the one I’ve heard the most is Regine Velasquez, from the Philippines.

Y: Your single, Crush and ALTNOY became radio hits in over 40 radio stations in Indonesia. What do you think about that? Are you surprised?
D: Oh really? Wow… That’s amazing! I really don’t know the response of the fans from Indonesia. I’ve gotten some fan letters from Indonesia. But, you know I have fans from like Singapore and Malaysia and Japan and Korea come to the States, but I’ve never met anyone from Indonesia yet really, other than you guys. But that’s why I think it would be so cool to go, because people keep telling me that there are a lot of fans there, and I just like you know, it’s always fun to go to see the fans and be able to perform for them, because they enjoy your music I like to get back to them.

Y: How about your life after Idol? Is it the same as you imagined before?
D: Life is really different now. People know who I am now wherever I go.
Y: Yeah, everybody knows you.
D: Hahaha *laughs and giggles* It’s crazy! I mean I never thought that people here in Asia would know who I was. So it’s just crazy to think that even though it’s thousands and thousands of miles away, it’s amazing to see that I still have people here who enjoy my music. And it’s just crazy, keeping busy now, and making an album, and going on tour, you know I had my first solo tour, I finished it 2 weeks ago. And it was across the States, and it’s just amazing, even there I was like I can’t believe I have fans all the way over here in New York or in umm… random places like Minnesota and… places like that *giggles*. And to think even in different countries it’s so amazing.

Y: I love Zero Gravity btw!
D: *really excited* AWW THANKS!!! Thank you…!!
Y: Is there any possibility that Zero Gravity becomes a single?
D: I don’t know. That’s really up to the label. And how they feel about songs, it’s all up to them. But maybe the response from the fans during the tour will give them a different opinion. But right now it’s what they feel the best for me.
Y: I really like the song.
D: Aww… Thanks! *giggles*

Y: Name something you do when you’re alone, that you would never do in front of other people? Like singing Jonas Brothers’ songs maybe?
D: I don’t really know Jonas Brothers’ songs… But they’re really nice… I guess. Umm… I guess dance.
Y: What kind of dance?
D: Scary dance….
Y: Scary dance? Hahaha... How about Merengue?
D: Merengue? I don’t know… I dance with my friends and stuff when I’m hyper enough. Sometimes I just dance in my room by myself. I just, I don’t know. It’s stupid of me. I wouldn’t do it in front of people. *giggles* I dance like an idiot in my room by myself.
Y: I wanna see that.
D: *laughs* No… I don’t know if I wanna do… *giggles*

Y: What is the most embarrassing thing that you’ve ever done at school?
D: Embarrassing? *long pause* I don’t know, I don’t remember. I mean I always do stupid things, so it’s just kinda normal, so… Umm… I don’t know… there isn’t really anything that I’m embarrassed about. I don’t know. I mean I usually just like, “okay… what happen happen”. *giggles* I guess I don’t ever really get embarrassed of doing stupid things, because I’m so used to doing stupid things. So… *giggles*(笑死我了!!!)
Everybody in the room : *laughs*

Me: *takes a picture of him eating* I’m sorry…
D: *giggles* It’s OK. Like I said, I’m used to doing stupid things. *giggles*

Y: If you can choose a stage name, what would it be?
D: *thinks hard*
Y: “David Archuleta”?
D: “David Archuleta”. Yeah… *laughs*. Nothing too fancy, just me… David *giggles*. I don’t know if there’s anything… cool. “Archie”? *giggles*
Y: Yeah… “Archie” is so cute!
D: *giggles*

This is just half of the interview actually. The other half has questions by interviewer from different media so I don’t have the right to post the transcript until it’s published on their magazine. But I will tell some of the highlights of the other half of the interview.

About his super long liner notes on his album, he said he didn’t want to leave people out, because he didn’t want them to think that he forgot about them . He said he’s a thankful person. He also told us about a crazy fan in her 40’s who grabbed his arm and tried to kiss him. LOL.(原來這個要強吻他的粉絲真的不是個年輕的粉絲,唉!)

He said when he met Sara Bareilles, he was actually there to see his friend performing. I was like “His friend? Hmm... who could that be?”. And then he said, “My friend, Gavin DeGraw”. Haha. He also said he’s getting better with spicy food.

And then here comes the epic ending, with that “Dahsyat” confusion. LOL. Some of you probably have heard it. But I’ll post again the only-audio video here. Enjoy!
